歩む路は一すじ

生命の歓喜へ向っているか

また永遠の死へ辿っているか

自分にも解き得ざる謎

謎の日は今、日毎ひごとつづきつつある

だが博士は言った

「半年か一年か保証は出来ないがね」

ここで自分の歩む路は死だと予断されている

も一人の博士はただ眉をひそめて

「生死の問題よりも苦痛よりのがれる方法を」と自分の言葉を認めて麻薬で劇薬の注射を与えて去った

又も一人の医師は言う

「もう手おくれだ　どこもかしこも悪い

ただ死は時日の問題だ」

自分はすべての医師に絶望を語られ

お前は死の路を歩むでいるのだと言われてその儘に

自分の生命力が博士達の想像と同一であるとは信じない

信じたくない。

博士達にだって幾月幾日に断定出来ないからだだ
