つたをたぐって丘に登る時

私は愉快である

登って見下せば又愉快である

みごもった稲田を広い平野の端から端へ

見てゆくのも愉快である

いろんな野菜の収穫の終った畑も

今は黍と芋蔓がしょんぼりと残っているのみで、

麓の清い澄んだ流れは紅い木の葉を浮べて流れている

木の葉を蹴って狭い山路をゆけば

どんぐりがころころといくつもいくつも転んで行く

ある処は焚火の跡もあり

弁当を食べた空箱もある

私は見晴しのいい処を探ねて行った

そして帰りは

タバコの空箱を拾って

どん栗を入れて

弟と妹のお土産とした。
