今も凶作地の子供達は

熱心に蕗のとうを摘んでいる

子供等よ！

お前らの兄んちゃんは

何をして警官に縛られたのか

何の為に満洲へ送られて行ったのか

姉さん達はどうして都会まちから帰って来たのか

お前らは知ってるね

何十年の間、お前らの父ちゃんから税金を捲きあげていた地主は

お前らの生活を保証してくれたか？

おまんまのかわりに

苦にがい蕗のとうを喰うお前らの小さな胸にも

今は強い敵意が燃えている

天災だと云って

しらを切ったのはど奴いつだ！

「困るのは小作だけでない」

そう云った代議士（地主）の言葉にウソがなかったか

子供等よ！　いつ地主の子供が

お前等と一緒に蕗のとうを摘みに行ったか

いつ、地主のお膳に

ぬか団子が転っていたか

修身講話が次から次へとウソになって現れて来たいま

おお　お前らのあたまも「学校」から離れる

北風の吹く夕暮れ

母親は馬カゴのもち草を

河っぷちで洗ってる

子供らはざるを抱えて家路へ急ぐ

背中の児は空腹を訴えて泣き

背負った子供は寒さに震える

だが、見るがよい

水涕みずばなをたらした男の児等の面がまえを！

児を背負った少女の瞳を！

おお、凶作地の子供等よ！

その顔に現れた反抗と憎悪をもって

兄んちゃんのような強きつい人間に成れ！

苦がい蕗のとうのざるをほうり出して

父ちゃんから税金を捲きあげた奴等に向って

あったかい米のご飯を要求するんだ！
