昨日山口より中島四郎、能間百合熊、福原三蔵外要路の人山田宇右衛門とか申人被レ参候。いまだ咄合も不レ仕候所なれども、案ズルニ今日中ニ事すミと相成可レ申か、山口よりハ木圭（桂）小五郎よりも長〻敷手紙参、半日も早く上京をうながされ候。然レ共此度の上京私一人外当時船の乗組一人位の事なるべくたれか京ニ御出しなれバ、はなはだつがふ（都合）能宜（ママ）しかるべし。

一、山口の方へハ薩州人黒田了介と申人参居候故、此人とともニ桂氏ハ先日上京と承り候。其桂ニ諸隊の者人物とよバれ候人を七八名も同行致セしよし申来り候。

一、私しの船ハ正月二日三日頃出しも可レ仕か、いまだ不分明なり。

右よふ成行ニ候得バ其御心積なり。
