山田濟齋

先生諱ハ種樹、古香ト號ス。日向國高鍋藩主秋月種任ノ三男、天保四年生ル。少ヨリ讀書ヲ好ム。兄種殷ノ嗣トナル。徳川幕府ノ末徴サレテ昌平黌學問所奉行トナル。文久三年將軍家茂ノ侍讀トナリ、若年寄ニ列ス。十一月將軍ニ從ヒ上京シ、勤王ノ事ニ從事ス。明治元年二月内國事務參與職ニ補セラレ、尋デ公議院ノ議長、左院小議官等ニ歴任シ、或ハ元老院議官ニ、或ハ貴族院勅選議員ニ任ゼラレ、明治三十七年十月病テ歿ス。特ニ從二位勳二等ニ陞叙セラル。
