御手紙ありがたく拝見仕つかまつりました。結構なる御見舞品まで賜たまわり御厚情の程感謝申し上げます。早速いただきましたが風味もよく非常に結構でございます。

編集会議にも研究会にもたびたび欠席仕り、何とも申訳ございません。御蔭でようやく熱も下りましたから、分担の分だけは期日通りに脱稿したいと思っております。しかしまだ予後がハッキリいたしませんから年内の上京は不可能だと思いますが、年が明けましたらなるべく早々上京して、今まで怠った分を取り返したいと思っております。一月五日の政治史の部会に出席できるよう元気恢復に努力しています。

第三部要綱も後れて仕舞いましたが、出来るだけ早く作って御批判を仰ぎたいと思います。
